bicycle since 2004

bicycle was opened in 2004 by a couple of all round cyclists with a vision to start a new bike store which would offer genuine service and  commitment to customers.  bicycle started small.  we spent many midnight hours turning the empty shell into a  cycle store. we had help from family, friends and even some new customers pitched in. it didn't take long before our customer base grew into the thousands and we had to employ more staff.  we were amazed at the support when starting up and thank you to all our customers who have made bicycle a success story.

we are all bikers

at bicycle is we are all genuine cyclists.  we are active bikers and love getting out on our bikes. you will find us flying along the wainuiomata mountain bike park single tracks, cruising the otago rail trail, competing in xc, super d and dh events, on day long trail rides in the whakarewarewa forest at rotorua and commuting along the hutt river flood banks to work.

as different shopping mediums have gained momentum, and online shopping has become increasingly popular, you our customers demand better prices, better service and high quality products. online is now the focus and 95% of sales. our goal at bicycle.co.nz is to become new zealands best online bike store. products are sourced from new zealand suppliers and are backed by full manufactures warranties and the consumers guarantee act.
